How today's puzzle plays
Green locks an attribute; yellow means partial overlap — treat it as a hint, not a miss.
Two informative guesses beat five hopeful ones.

Smashdle, and the three recorded modes at the top
Smashdle is the Super Smash Bros. guessing game at smashdle.net, built on the roster of Ultimate. Its menu has five modes — Classic, Final Smash, Kirby, Emoji and Silhouette — and the table at the top of this page records three of them: Classic, Emoji and Kirby, each for the Europe and America time zones. Classic reveals seven properties of each guessed fighter: gender, species, universe, weight, first Smash appearance, platform of origin and origin date. Emoji reveals one more emoji per guess. Kirby asks which fighter Kirby swallowed, showing the copied B move.
Final Smash is missing because its answer is served from a separate endpoint rather than the public cache our pipeline reads, and Silhouette is not captured by our fetcher. Each mode has its own answer: across our records from 2 September to 11 October 2026, the three recorded modes never shared a fighter on the same puzzle number.
Classic, worked
The seven columns, as the game's help screen defines them, and how much each can narrow the 86-entry roster:
- Universe — the franchise. 24 universes hold a single entry, so a green there is the answer; Mario holds 11.
- Weight and Origin date — the two numeric columns, with an up or down arrow on a miss. Weight runs 62–135, origin dates 1980–2019.
- First appearance and Gender — single-value columns, green or red only. First appearance has five values; Gender has four, including Selectable for fighters like Villager, Robin and the Miis.
- Species and Platform of origin — multi-value columns where orange means a partial overlap; Human appears on 52 entries, so its red is the larger elimination.
Kirby mode, plainly
The game's help is short: guess who Kirby swallowed using his B move; after 6 tries a clue shows Kirby's new B move in action. Nothing in the game explains how the day's fighter is chosen, and this page makes no claim about which copied looks are easy or hard. What our records do show is variety: the 41 Kirby puzzles from #1092 to #1132 had 41 different answers. The Smashdle archive lists every recorded answer by date if you want to check a past puzzle.
On regions
The game's Time zone setting offers Europe (midnight at UTC+2) and America (midnight at UTC−6), and both play the same numbered sequence. In our 40 daily files the two regions showed the same puzzle number and fighters on 24 dates; on the other 16 America was one number ahead. Each region's column here shows what that region was serving when our fetcher last ran that day, labelled with its puzzle number — match that number to the one in the game.

Where the answers come from
The answers are read automatically from the public cache file smashdle.net serves to its own players and published by the pipeline described on the editorial policy page; the short note under the table is generated from the same data and is not individually reviewed. Sister games with pages in the same format: Pokedle, LoLdle, Narutodle, OnePiecedle and Dotadle, all introduced on the Dle games hub.
A strategy for Classic
Open with a fighter that sits near the middle of both arrow columns — weight around 95, origin date in the mid-1990s — and in a large universe or species group, so that greens and reds both remove a lot. Then filter honestly: list only the fighters that would give exactly the row you saw, and choose the next guess to split that list, even if it cannot be the answer. With seven columns and 86 entries, two well-chosen guesses often leave one or two candidates, as the worked example below shows.
Final Smash mode
The menu calls Final Smash "Guess with a Smash animation": you identify the fighter from the Final Smash triggered after breaking the Smash Ball, and a clue unlocks after a few tries. Because HintSheet cannot capture its answer, there is no Final Smash row in the table and no past answers in the archive. The Classic mode does carry a related clue — once unlocked, it shows the name of the answer's Final Smash, hidden if it contains the fighter's name. For the mode itself, play it on smashdle.net.
Emoji mode
The help screen's rules are simple: each guess reveals one new emoji, everyone sees the same emojis, and the full set is shown after you win. The game does not say how the emojis are chosen, so read them as clues to test rather than a code to crack, and use early guesses on fighters from different franchises — a wrong guess costs only a turn and buys another emoji. Our records show no repeats: 41 Emoji puzzles, 41 different fighters.
Reading the answer table
The table has one row per recorded mode and region and two columns, Mode and Answer. It carries no Classic attribute values — the cache file our pipeline reads does not include them — so the row names the fighter outright. Read it in this order:
- Region label: "(Europe)" or "(America)" after the mode name — pick the one matching the game's Time zone setting.
- Puzzle number: the region's number shown above the table should match the number in the game.
- Mode: Classic, Emoji or Kirby; each has its own fighter.
- Answer: the fighter's name as the game spells it. For hints rather than names, use the column explanations on the Smashdle hub.
A worked Classic
America's Classic answer for #1132 (11 October 2026) was Yoshi — Male, species Yoshi, universes Yoshi and Mario, weight 104, first playable in SSB 64, platform SNES, origin date 1990, per the game's roster data. A first guess of Mario (Male, Human, Mario, 98, SSB 64, Arcade, 1981) returns Gender green, Species red, Universe orange, Weight red with an up arrow, First appearance green, Platform red and Origin date red with an up arrow. Filtering the roster for that exact row leaves one fighter, so the second guess wins. Europe's #1131, Villager, took three guesses by the same method; the Smashdle hub walks through it.
Echo fighters and the near-identical row
Smashdle lists Ultimate's seven Echo Fighters — Lucina, Dark Pit, Daisy, Richter, Chrom, Dark Samus and Ken — as separate entries, and each shares Universe and Weight with its base fighter in the game's data. A guess of the base fighter therefore turns those two cells green while First appearance, Platform or Origin date stay red. Ken and Ryu are the closest pair: they differ only on First appearance. When the rest of the row points at a fighter you have already guessed, try its Echo.
What the archive shows about the answers
Our 40 daily files (2 September – 11 October 2026) hold 41 puzzle numbers per recorded mode, #1092 to #1132. Within each mode no fighter repeated, and 75 different fighters appeared across the three modes. Among the 41 Classic answers, 11 were Ultimate-debut fighters, 9 from SSB 64, 8 from 3DS/Wii U, 7 from Melee and 6 from Brawl — roughly in line with the roster, given the small sample.
Because both regions play the same sequence, a day you missed in one region is usually visible as the other region's number in the archive. The region name and puzzle number are printed with every answer, and checking that number against the game is the surest way to read the right row.
A note on fighter numbers, since players ask: SmashWiki explains that Ultimate numbers characters by the order in which they first joined the series, with Echo Fighters sharing the number of the fighter they are based on and Pokémon Trainer's Pokémon numbered individually. Smashdle's Classic mode has no fighter-number column, so those numbers never appear in the feedback.
Frequently asked questions
When does Smashdle reset?
The game's Time zone setting gives midnight UTC+2 for Europe and midnight UTC−6 for America. The countdown on this page runs to HintSheet's next scheduled update, not to the game's reset.
